We Are Hiring - Project Managers

It’s that time again! Vigilant Management is seeking a new Project Manager to join our team. For those of you who aren’t really familiar with what we do and who we are, but are engineers, architects, or engineering technologists who enjoy making a difference, working as a team, and promoting safety, then I implore you to read on.

I am going to be candid with you, readers and potential employees. I have been working at Vigilant now for just over 6 weeks. I’m only here for about 4 months, so I’m nearing the half-way point with my work term now, and already Vigilant has changed my life; and completely for the better.

I recognize that the possibilities for work are endless. Every company has a different work environment, and people thrive under different circumstances. I have had jobs where I worked 12 hour days at a desk, jobs where I’ve worked a rigid 8-5 schedule, and now I’m in a job where I work a specific set of hours a week, but under the conditions and times that work best for me. I have worked running my parents business where I was always on call, I have worked in environments where competition made people enemies in the work place, and now I work in an environment where everyone feels like family.

I quickly learned that I thrive in an environment where I am trusted wholly to do my work in the manner that works best for me. I also work very well in an environment where everyone works well together, where you can bounce ideas off one another, and where everyone is just there to help. Learning this is extremely powerful, as now I know exactly what to look for, and what to avoid in a workplace.

If you are anything like me, which I suspect many of you are, and you enjoy freedom, responsibility, and respect, then Vigilant is likely the place for you. If you read a little further, the job ad below outlines who we are, what we do, and what we’re looking for. I look forward to hearing from you all, and hopefully getting to meet you as well! I promise you that Vigilant is a great place to work.

All the best,

Sarah
