Week 12 was another fun-filled week at Vigilant Management. I was lucky enough to spend time with my coworkers outside of office hours this week. I have said in the past how great this company is to work for. The employees ensure they get their work done but they also recognize that it is important to have some fun once the working day is done! The people here work well together to achieve common goals both in and out of the office.
This week, Vigilant held their annual Wayne Squires Memorial Horseshoe Tournament. This past weekend was the 10th anniversary for the tournament and we had a great turnout. The company decided to use this tournament to contribute to our efforts for the Children’s Wish Foundation’s Exile Island fundraiser. We used a “Play by Donation” policy so each of the 26 players had to contribute a monetary donation to the fundraiser in order to play. In addition to this, during the game a player could pay a little extra to re-throw a horseshoe. Through this, we were successful in being able to donate even more for our wish child. The tournament this year was the biggest so far with 13 teams and many more guests who stopped in throughout the day.
It was nice to see how everyone from the company came together for a great cause. Each person here is a team player whether it be working together to keep projects on track or working as a team to make a difference in the community. Since Vigilant Management decided to take on the challenge of the Exile Island Fundraiser, everyone here has been involved. We know how great it will be to grant a child their wish which motivates us to work hard to raise as much money as possible.
